Default Ran out of fermaid-k doing staggered nutrient schedule

Can I boil down spent brewing yeast for a similar effect?

Sure you can. Will it have the same effect as fermaid-K, probably not but it will provide a natural source of nitrates, amino acids & other trace nutrients. If your must nees it then go for it. I have a couple of meads that were fed only with boild bread yeast for nutrients and all was well there.
