Yes, it exists. Search for "spunding valve".

Cheers!

This may not answer the question in regards to a pressure relief valve, but here's a link to a package to help fermenting in the keg.http://www.midwestsupplies.com/keg-fermenter-kit.html

The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments posted in a courthouse is this: You cannot post "Thou Shalt Not Steal," "Thou Shalt
Not Commit Adultery," and "Thou Shall Not Lie" in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians...It creates a hostile work environment.

You might want to watch this...the poster made one to use while steam sanitizing his Sanke Keg for use as a fermenter...you don't need the fancy fermenter kit, an orange carboy cap will fit on a Sanke Keg.

I have been considering this valve from mcmaster-carr for just that purpose. This is the cheapest I have seen this type of valve $36.88, most are several hundred dollars.

mcmaster-carr part number 99045K11

Ferment in a closed pressure cooker - from memory the blowoff is set to 14 PSI by the weight you set on the post sticking out of the lid..
