I put together the dolly portion that the keezer will sit on. Also, my first attempt at miter cuts and pocket holes. I wanted to ensure it was strong so I added some brackets.

Does anyone know how tall the corny kegs are with ball lock connections?

Hi

23" without anything connected to them. Figure another half inch to allow hoses to get in and out easily. There is some variation between manufacturers, so it's best to measure the actual kegs you have if you are really trying to squeeze things in.

Thanks Bob. I did and it looks like I will be okay with an 8 inch collar.

Okay, Found out interesting things today.

First... It is near impossible to get a flat straight board at my HD. Grrrr.

Second... I wish I discovered number one sooner.

Third... Liquid Nails is very awesome!

I have the collar put together with the lid attached to the collar. So far so good.

Awesome! Did you see my post saying it was for $168? Anyways, glad I could help you if I did.

I'm putting mine together right now. I just got the collar built this weekend (miter + 2 triangle brackets for each corner), and now I'm waiting as the top seals to the collar. It's been tons of fun so far, but I got a lot to go before I have this beer on tap this weekend (60 min IPA clone).

I think I did see it. I went to HD and ordered it through the store so I could use my military discount for an extra 10% off. I went with 1x8 and plan to make walls and a tower of some sorts. Thanks for the great post on the discount...Definitely a great deal.

Put some sealant on the wood today. Still need to insulate and decide on a top. I have a rough idea for the sides but still need to hammer it out.
