Default Small beers

I am considering doing a small beer any suggestions on 2nd running target OG? Should I add additional DME to boost OG?

You haven't given any information to work from. The OG of your second runnings depends on a lot of things including your recipe, your OG of the first runnings, and your efficiency.

That, or just scale up the amount of grains you were going to use.

As far as your 2nd running gravity, it depends on how strong you want it. If it ends up really low just reduce the amount of hops you were planning on using
