Default How to mount March pump?

My brew stand is 90% done, and my March pump will be here at the end of next week. Do you guys have any pictures of how you have mounted your pumps? Their web site shows no mounting info. Any help would be appreciated!

First you get a pump and then rub it the right way to loosen her up and then do it dirty.......

Cheers

So I am no help right now!

I just recently overcame this same problem. I went to Lowe's and found large piping support brackets(2.5" and 3"). They were in the miscellaneous piping section. I had to modify them somewhat to encourage a tighter fit around the pump casing. Then simply attached them to the brew frame. The only problem that I noticed with this arrangement is that the weight of the pump was almost too much for the strength of the bracket material. They seemed to bend a little. That was corrected when I connected all the SS tubing to the inlet and outlet of the pump.

So...there is a mounting plate on the bottom or what? The March web site doesn't show squat, and I haven't seen any pictures of how they are actually mounted. I am really curious because I need to finish the welding on my brew stand before my pump will be delivered. I borrowed a welder that needs to be returned by Thursday, and my pump won't be here until Friday at the earliest.

Mine's got a mounting plate with four slotted holes on the bottom. I've yet to mount it since I tend to use it for all sorts of things, but it'd be quite simple if I wanted to make a semi-permanent installation.

Mine has a drilled flange on the bottom.

[Yah, I haven't brewed in a few months.]

Being in the Chicago area (where March Pump is located) I figured I'd be smart and save a couple-a-bucks by ordering direct. Turns out the model (809-HS-PL) you get from B3 and other online homebrew suppliers comes with the flange (and sometimes a pre-wired power cord), but if you go direct from "pump suppliers" you get no flange and bare wires. For me it was a moot point, as I mounted mine like natehilde did with pipe hangers. If you want the flange, go through B3/NB/other brew store. If not, google for it.

Thanks for the help! It appears that they come either with or without the mounting flange. I am willing to bet that mine has no flange. I will just have to wait and see, I guess.
