Mash Schedule
-------------
Mash Type: Single Step
Grain Lbs: 14.50
Water Qts: 16.00- Before Additional Infusions
Saccharification Rest Temp : 155 Time: 60
Sparge Temp : 180 Time: 30
Notes: The dry hops are added to the keg in tea balls or a weighted muslin bag. I call it Second Loser since along with a Scottish Ale, it was my first beer ever entered into a competition and it took 3rd place even though I screwed up the carbonation and it was virtually flat. Since then, I have made this recipe partially substituting Summit hops for some of the Cascade and cutting back on the initial Warrior to compensate for the high AA% on Summit hops. I have also scaled it back and made it as an APA. I got the idea of getting most of the IBUs from a Zymergy article by Jamil. He was dead on - this has massive hop flavor and aroma with balanced bitterness.
