I guess it's my turn to change the tide
As there seems to be no open riddle:
What has a foot on each side
And has one foot in the middle?

"Not enough rhyming and riddling," you say?
Here's another to make your day.
Hopefully these are making you smirk
Plus a new pentameter to make it work:
A butcher butches to pass his day
But if he's 8 feet tall, what does he weigh?

I thought the answer to the first was "me"
Though it said "feet", when I've only legs three

But anyways, a yardstick has three such feet
And a butcher tends to weigh his meat
I'll admit the first riddle was no simple feat
But the second was pretty much instantly beat

I understand the difference between prose & poetry
I figured I'd make jest & poke fun of all our ability
It does seem that with all the rhyme
That we all just have too much time
To devote to so much nonsense is just ghastly!

I'm no poet,
and I am aware of it.

That was quite astute, my dear emjay
I've been saving those riddles for a rainy day

At first I thought it must be a book
But then I thought I should take another look
It appears as though I'm on the right track
But don't think I'm right, now looking back
An encylopedia comes to mind
As the riddle does mention "to bind"
But eyes to listen are causing me sorrow
I guess I'll think more and check back tomorrow

At first glance I would guess a dictionary
But only because LabRats avatar is unsightly...and hairy.
