My newbie question of the day:
A recipe building site indicated my barleywine would have an OG of 1.126, actual was 1.106. Boil of 6 gallons.
What was most likely cause of being that far off? Lack of boil off? I have missed before, but understood why (topping off).
This brew went really well, chilled to around 70-71 and took reading directly from brew pot via spigot.
