Default Crush flaked wheat?

Doing my first batch that calls for flaked wheat since getting my mill. Should I run the flaked wheat through the mill? Will it hurt to run it through? I threw it in the bag with the rest of the grains to be milled in the morning. It is on top so I can probably pull most of it out before milling if necessary. Thanks

no running flaked wheat through the mill. No running flaked anything. If you crush it, it may gum up your mash.

I wouldn't sweat it unless it was a large portion of your grain bill

Thanks guys. Ill pull as much as I can out. It is only .5 lb so I won't sweat it if I can't get it all out.
