I have a ice barrel that I was thinking about converting to a mash tun.

It is 18" x 1.5' deep and has a drain in the center. Currently I am using a cooler tun, but dwould like something round to improve efficiency.

If you have seen one of these, probably in a grocerystore or gas station, what do you think? It should hold about 20 # of grain or more easily.

Thanks all

Do you mean the ones shaped like a soda can? I would make sure that it can handle the heat. if they can then i can't see why it wouldn't work.

Cheers

Other than testing it, I don't know how I would tell. Any ideas?
