Default Sweet red wine recipe needed...

Hi all, I've been trying my hand at mead. I actually started back in Dec. However, My wife is saying that If I can't drink it, whats the point.

So in the spirit of SWMBO, does anyone have a relatively quick sweet red wine recipe that I could use to appease her beveraginal needs?

I have heard of

1 gallon red grape juice
1lb sugar
d47

If this will work, how long would it take to age, clear and be drinkable? My office is 64-66 F and I already know about Staggered nutrient additions. However, how much different is the process?

Look up Skeeter Pee on this site, it is tasty and ready to drink fast. Nice refreshing summertime drink.

I have 8 carboys, 8 cornies, 5-1 gal jugs, 200 wine bottles, 10 cases of beer bottles and a nice assortment of flip tops....My goal is to keep them at least 50% occupied

the welchs concord wine comes close to barefoot sweet red i would say at a concentration of 3-4 cans per gallon will get you really close with d47 yeast.

Pom/Bueberry is quite good, also. @ the same ratio as you have above, a little more sugar if the tartness is a bother. I use Northland Pom/Blueberry.
