My girl really likes commercial cherry Kriek. Now I don't have the experience to actually brew a Lambic, but I want to make a nice malty cherry ale. She really likes the caramel flavors in some of my homebrew, so I want that to come out too.
Here's my recipe so far (5 gallons):
8# Maris Otter 2-row
1# Honey Malt
1# Crystal 60L
1# Crystal 120L
1.5oz Williamette @ 60min
0.5oz Williamette @ 0min
After 3 weeks, rack onto 5lbs thawed frozen cherries in secondary.
Thoughts? I'm unsure about the hops especially.
