Default How to find competitions?

So my goal this year is to enter at least 2 tastings/competitions. My motives are that I want to know how my beer stands against others and I want a well trained taster to give me constructive criticism. However, I'm having trouble finding a good resource that tells you what competitions are when. I want to enter these comps with fresh beer for certain styles so timing is important. Any suggestions on a listing of competitions?

Also join your local brew club. Our club has an individual that is in charge of finding and encouraging people to enter into comps.

Also there is a comp section by area way down the main page of HBT.

The Lehigh Valley area has a lot of highly entered comps. War of the Worts, Buzz Off, Stoney Creek, Malt Madness.
