Default Latest Smoker Build

This smoker started life as a hospital blanket warmer. Totally gutted the old analog controls and heating elements; modified for 240 V operation.

Added:

2400 watt element
PID Controller and T/C
Manual Air Intake/Discharge Controls
Blower
External Wood Chip Feeder With Independent Heat Element
Meat Temperature Probe

So far I've done venison jerky and deer sticks.
Really want to do a brisket or two real soon.

That is a pretty sweet setup you have there. Never would have thought to convert a blanket warmer. Make sure you post some pics of that brisket while it goin!

Brisket is on the menu for Easter Sunday. I'll try to get some pictures posted.

Looks good! I ended up doing a turkey. I'll have to post a pic of that here soon.

My earlier builds were all based on vintage, 1950's era, refrigerator cabinets, with the latching door handles.

A buddy commented how they were real kid-killers. The name stuck.
