Solid advice right there that a lot of new brewers should follow.

Then rack onto priming solution in the bottling bucket. And give those bottles 3-4 weeks, then a week in the fridge on average gravity beers.
I understand the secondary debate. That's not my problem. Reading revy's reply I understand what secondary does. If you read my following post regarding my plan (due to lack of bottles as per original post)that's my query.

1. Leave the current bottles for at least another week or more IMO - yes
2. Leave the current brew (a pale ale) in primary for 7 more days Yes
3. Transfer to secondary and leave for 3 weeksYour choice. Leave it in primary or move to secondary
4. Put the secondary vessel into fridge No - dropping the temp puts the yeast to sleep and they stop whatever they were doing (cleaning up, fermenting, etc.) If you want to halt activity and just clarify then go ahead. I'd leave it out, it will clear up just find and condition.
5. Go to Vegas on 12th April return to Dublin on 16th and collect bottles Yes
6. Bottle beer and drink or wait? Drink the pale ale. Bottle the new one and wait 3 weeks to carb and condition before tasting

That's my plan, If it's not a good idea please tell me tanx

I wasn't referring to the debate, but rather to give a brief synopsis of what secondaries are used for. But so far as the bottle problem, yeah,in that case secondary would be ok till you get some. The others def need more time,as I said. I'd also like to put forth a lil of my mother's thoughts; Be sure brain is engaged before putting mouth in gear!
