I currently have a 3800W element in my 10G boilermaker but it takes forever to hit a boil. I do 8 gallon boils. Anyone think a 4500W element would be too extreme? Its one of those black foldback camco elements from home depot. Brewing tomorrow nd id like to change it out tonite if i have time!
I was also kinda afraid to go too big in fear of scorching my wort, but i suppose if i were to compnsate for the bigger element by lowering the cycle time it might not heppen(?) I dunno.. im a tinkerin fool and ill get it righ sometime!
