Almost done with my herms setup and I kept pushing the tops and tubes from the keggles from place to place. Finally I decided to build something out of one. Here is what I came up with. Bought a lamp kit from home depot for $10, and viola I now have a lamp for my workshop. just needs to be cleaned up a little.
Next one I'm going to make the lid into the reflector for the bulb and have a ceiling mounted version. Then possibly incorporate the 3rd one into the brew stand for late night brewing.

Nice! Bar lighting, who'd have thunk it.

I'm not sure how sturdy that setup is, but we've done something similar over here. Had some huge disk brakes, screwed a pipe in there about waist high, and mounted a small vice on top. Doesn't work for anything huge, but a movable vice has been pretty handy.

Did that keg contain "Light Beer" by any chance?

That's pretty cool...might be neat to make a small "sprinkler" kinda deal to water your hops with too!
