Just stablized the Apple wine and Mead today! It has been 2 months, its crystal clear kicks like a mule and very drinkable. Bottling tomorrow!
My wife wanted samples and loved them both. The mead was much better at room temp and the apple wine was much better chilled.
Has anyone seen mead loose its nose when it's chilled?
Never seen it do this before but never really drank it this soon. I usually wait about three months for anything but did a bit of experimenting with the apple wine this time. The apple wine developed a musty nose when chilled but still had apple aroma and lots of flavor, it's a sweet wine, finished at 1.16 FG. The mead finished at 99.6 FG
