Just out of curiousity how much is shipping on a scoby?

It depends. The person in my above post must live in a rural area, and UPS charges an extra fee for delivery in his area, so it was expansive. I've shipped to people for a lot less, and I think the average is about $7-8.

I made a smaller scoby then used it in a larger container, I think it took longer. I make the scoby the size of what my tea will be in. You can do it though you just end up with an odd looking scoby

Check on eBay there is a guy in Maine that sells great scobies
