Default Infusion Mash - Highly modified malt?

In Papazian's book he states that infusion mash is great if you are using a highly modified malt, but really doesn't say what that means.

I have Pilsner malt from my LHBS. Is the infusion mash method ok for this grain along with some cara-pils?
