I am looking to automate the steam control into the manifold via a temp controller sensing my circulating wort (I plan to recirc).

Has anyone used a solenoid valve for this purpose? I'm figuring a 3/8" port and was wondering about a good source for valves. I found STC but wondered if anyone had implemented something like this already.

Interesting... would the solenoid valve be an infinite adjustable capability or are the "on-off" valves? Or... would it even matter if it was used with a controller, the controllers logic would just turn steam on and off as needed I guess...

OK... so I think I just answered my own question. haha!
