Hey

I made a 1/2 gallong test batch of blueberry mead. Its made out of whatever I could find in the super market. I am curious how long should I let it ferment in the primary?

My recipe is:
1 and a half lbs of Clover Honey
10 ounces of frozen blueberry crushed.
Red Star Beard yeast.

I'm thinking for doing it like JAOM until the fruit drops & clears but I am new to brewing and looking for advice.

beard yeast sounds like an odd choice. Bread yeast might be better.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

I only use bread yeast for pizza dough but I do keep ale yeast in my beard.

Beard yeast is the only yeast that Chuck Norris uses. It ferments to 100%.

is the rare bread yeast extracted from the beard of the pirate Blue Beard when they exumed his body in France in the 1800's.

Depends on if the yeast came from his beard, or hers.
