I hate that! That's one of the reasons I keep a stash of dry in the fridge at all times, though. I've had to use it when my smack pack didn't swell or my starter didn't start. One time I opened some washed pacman yeast that I was planning on using the next day, and the smell almost knocked me over- so nottingham went in the brew.
