Default Forgot Bittering Hops...

So I added the LME and was supposed to add the bittering hops when the boil started but 45 minutes later realized I forgot. I threw them in and continued to boil for another 45 minutes. I finished the brew and it 's sitting the the fermenter. Is my beer ruined?

Greg

you can't really over boil the extract (as far as I know), so you just wasted those first 45 minutes and that is all. Beer will be fine!

Volume might be a bit lower because of the longer boil, but that just means higher ABV.

You're fine. RDWHAHB.

How much volume went into the fermenter? What was the OG?

If you boiled an extra 45 minutes your OG will definitely be higher since you've boiled off more than usual.
You'll get a higher abv, I'm sure.

Finished product will probably a bit darker than expected.. but, sounds like it'll be good.
