I know this is a beer place I"m a little, make that two sheets to the wind drunk. Sitting in my garage, aka the mancave Nice rain coming down outside, listening to The Glen Miller Band, Count Bassie, Frand Sinatra..etc

Good.

Awesome. I grew up on big band. I get "in the mood" for it every now and then.

Revvy's one of the cool reverends. He has a Harley and a t-shirt that says on the back "If you can read this, the bitch was Raptured. - Madman

I gotta tell ya, just between us girls, that Revvy is HOT. Very tall, gorgeous grey hair and a terrific smile. He's very good looking in person, with a charismatic personality... he drives like a ****ing maniac! - YooperBrew

You should seek out recordings with Nelson Riddle or Billy May as the arranger/bandleader. Wickit cool stuff.

Having played in a couple local big/jazz/swing bands, I always have a soft spot for that music.

Not a thing wrong with it Dan. In fact, I frequently listen when I'm sober!

I can listen to anything. I like everything from bluegrass to heavy metal. All depends what frame of mind I'm in. Nothing wrong with big band.

Big Band music is wonderful. Always reminds me of my grandma who loved to tell stories about how she would go dancing at a club called Merrie Gardens (in Chicago) back in the late 1930s

That sounds wondeful. I love hearing stories from our elders. Their life seemed so much more simpler. I guess it is all relative.

I'd like to say I love Big Band music, but I had the fortune to listen to about 2 hours of it while I cooked pancakes for my kids' Band Boosters Breakfast benefit and I enjoyed it for about 5 minutes. At least some of the tunes were catchy. BWBB of Company B, etc.

I guess it beats Country...
