Default Is there enough yeast in lees to start another carboy

Assuming you rack before your % of alcohol kills your yeast. Say rack at 1.010 you should have some live yeast. How viable is this yeast? As viable as top cropping or less? Or would the dead ones just off flavor the new batch?

Most people gather their yeast from the bottom of the carboy after they rack off.

Walmart is about the only reason for open or concealed carry that I can get behind. -Randar
