This is a real simple recipe thats tastes great! I actually just pulled out an old Oatmeal Stout that I made back on 6/26/2006... over the last 9 months its really aged well... great!!!

Is this a full boil? How much water did you use to steep your grains? Any info would be great. Would love to try this very simple recipe, but I've always just done partial boil extract recipes and never steeped any grains.

thx, loop

:mug: Thats a lot of roasted barley, I always stick in about 3/4#. I also put in 1/2# of either chocalate or coffee malt for flavor and 1# of flaked oats for mouth feel. A lot of people put in Black Patent for that "burnt" flavor. But, to each his own, good to experiment!:tank: :mug:

What are the specifics on the Saaz hops that you used? Did you use Czech or US pellets? They are very different on their %AA.
