So I threw together the following IPA two weeks ago and am looking for some dry hop suggestions for it.

Heebs Hopplosion

Grains
11lbs Pale Malt
1.60lbs Caravienne
1.10lbs Cara-Pils/Dextrine

Hops
.25oz Warrior (FWH)
.50oz Cascade (60min)
.50oz Chinook (45min)
.50oz Amarillo (35min)
.25oz Citra (35min)
.50oz Cascade (30min)
.25oz Citra (20min)
1.0oz Cascade (2min)
.50oz Citra (2min)

Yeast
California Ale V

Additions
1tsp Irish Moss

Mash
60 minutes at 154 degrees
Batch Sparge at 170 degrees 10 minutes.

OG 1.063

Just looking to find a hop(s) that would go well for dry hopping in this recipe. Any help you could give me would be appreciated.

Cascade/Amarillo are always nice as a dry hop in nearly any situation. I think they would work well here since you'll already have some of the cascade aroma in the late addition.

With a name like "Hopplosion" you should just go at least 3 ounces of dry hops or more.

Does dry hopping impact the IBU's? If so, anyone know what that would do with my current IBU's?

+1 on the cascades idea, makes a nice DH, and it won't make any change in the IBU's. At this point, you're not boiling the hops, so the only thing you're going to get is their aroma.

also, what's the story on the 'Heebs' part? I ask because people call me that all the time.

Well by the looks of your screen name I assume you may be a Hebert?

My last name is the same, thus the "Heeb" reference. Been a nickname of mine since birth, or pretty damn close.

So would you recommend three ounces of Cascade also?
