Default How not to loosen Lug nuts...

The lug nut key for my car's locking nuts broke so I was searching for how to remove them...Came across this article and thought you guys/gals would find it funny. It's an old article, but worth checking out.

I like the last line of the story:

"It was not immediately clear whether the shotgun blast loosened the lug nut."

My favorite line as well lol. The worst part is he wasn't even drunk they say. I can't see this coming off as a good idea in any state of mind really. This guy almost put himself up for a Darwin award.

This made my day. I have to admit that I have had a few vehicles in my career that might have received the same treatment had I had a 12 gauge in my toolbox!

This tool would be far more dangerous with a shotgun than the old guy.

This was my favorite line (or part thereof): "...northwest of Southworth, about 10 miles southwest of Seattle."

The most frightening line in the article ... "he wasn't intoxicated"

In case anyone cares or needs to know for future reference...I ended up using a slightly smaller socket than the lug, hammer that sucker on real good and then just use your wrench to get it loose. Comes right off.

Keep in mind, this is for locking lugs...Kinda makes you realize they are useless lol...I will now replace my locking lugs on any vehicles in the future.
