Default Sanitize corks before bottling?

What is the general thought on this? Do I just leave them alone and cork?

I throw them in a saucepan with about an inch of water, boil for 5 minutes, then just pluck them out of the pan and into the corker. I dunno if the sanitizing is as much of a big deal as softening them up.

I just rented a wine corker and the cork goes in fine without boiling? Should I not worry and just cork?

You sanitize everything else that touches your beer after the boil, no? Why not sanitize the corks? Throw them into a Starsan solution for a minute then pluck them right out to put in the corker (bonus, it will make it a little easier if they're wet). Cork on, I love cork & cage bottling, gives the packaging a little something extra (in addition to bottle refermentation benefits).

I throw them in a starsan solution...they float so I dunk them down briefly.

I toss them in star san so they're a little lubed up. I do it out of habit and because the sanitizer is handy.
