Yeast Starter: Yes
Batch Size (Gallons): 5.5
Original Gravity: 1.065
Final Gravity: 1.014
Boiling Time (Minutes): 60
Primary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 10
Secondary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 14
Tasting Notes: Full bodied; Full mouth feel, slightly roasty, sharp hops

This recipe is a staple of ours. It is full bodied with an underlying sweetness but with an ABV to back it.

Fat American ESB

10 ESB Base
.5 Crystal 60
.5 Crystal 120
.25 honey
.25 victory
1 oz black patent

mash at 155 - 7

2 magnum (60)
1 willamette (15)
1 cascade (0)
