Default Looking for Suggestions & Ideas

Now that I finished the Recipe Drop-Down I don't have anything else on my TODO list for HBT.

I'm looking for suggestions/ideas on

- Completely new sections like Gallery, Reviews, Link
- Improvements to Current Sections
- Improvements to the Forum Software
- New Forum Features
- ETC.

Feel free to list them here or PM me with them.

I was wondering if it would make sense to have a database of commericial beer reviews, like ratebeer's or beeradvocate's. Maybe organized in a database like the recipe database. Just a thought, no idea if we'd actually do a lot with it, but it might be nice.

I don't know much about computer stuff but I have noticed if I want to post pictures I always need to resize them to upload them on the forum. Some of my pics I haven't posted because I have been too lazy to do this. Just a thought.

I've seen some communities that have forums especially for photos. I wouldn't mind seeing that here. Some folks put photos in the gallery and we never see them. A photo forum might encourage folks to post their pics so we have a better chance to view them.

It would be really cool if I could select any picture as an avatar and the forum software would re-size it automatically to avatar-friendly. I have many pictures I'd like to use as an avatar but they don't meet the requirements and I don't really know how to make them fit...

I think it does that... I've uploaded big pics, and they work as avatars without having to re-size. Shrinks them down automatically.

Agree.

Brewboard also has a feature where I can quote a person's post, reply on it and send it.

Then, If I post in the same thread again in a certain amount of time, it will add the new reply to the same post above--thus eliminating 2 posts from me. It makes it look cleaner.

I also agree about the auto picture resize feature. Brewboard has that too....it shows at 85%, and if oyu click on it you get the whole full size image.

Actually I was denied an avatar because it was too wide, I resized it in photoshop and it loaded up fine.

I like these ideas. I've often wanted to quote 2 or more people and while it can be done it is a bit of a PITA.
