I'm ready to rack my pumpkin ale to clarify and want to add vanilla to secondary. Just wondering if I should add a vanilla bean or vanilla extract? And how much? Excited to crack open my third batch tonight...chocolate milk stout!

I just bottled my pumpkin ale a couple of days ago. I forgot to add the vanilla when I put my spice tea in the secondary. So I just added an ounce with the priming sugar ( which I used dark brown sugar). And it tastes exactly like pumpkin pie.

Forgot to mention it was vanilla extract

We've settled on adding a couple beans in secondary, then adding extract to taste in the bottling bucket.
