I cant imagine my great luck. My wife's uncle and my father in law both used to brew back "in the day(1970s)." When my wife's family moved to Saudi Arabia, apparently, they sold their brew out of their cars and considering it was illegal were kind of living on the edge.

Anyway, they eventually got out of practice but kept all of their old equipment. One of their prizes, IMHO, was a big box of Grolsch-style bottles! So when I went up there this weekend, he gave me the whole thing. SCORE!!!

They don't have old regulator, fermenters, kegs, etc?

Not that the bottles aren't cool, just sayin...

Wow, bootlegging in the Magic Kingdom? Your family has some balls, my friend.

I saw Persepolis and took a really good class on politics in the Middle East, and I was telling my friend who may work in Kuwait for a few months that people make alcohol everywhere, but I wouldn't do it there, that's for sure.

What an awesome story. You should interview them and write it up.
