I say add another 0.5 oz. of Columbus in there to make it an even pound!

To say it was really hoppy is too obvious, but actually it is not as hoppy as you might imagine. The strength of the alcohol gives it balance and comes off as sweetness. It is dry with lots of hop flavor, as well as aroma. And the IBUs are really only calculated IBUs, not actual absorbed IBUs. You need to put in a relatively huge amount of hops to get the character this Imperial IPA needs.

Is there a diminishing returns effect as to the IBUs? At what point would it be?
