Default Basic porter for a newbie..

Hello everyone! I am currently finishing up my Amber ale and would love to do a porter next. I am very new at this so I was wondering if someone could give me a good basic tradetional porter (extracts) recipe that I could use or at least point me in the right direction. thanks!

Specialty grains are grains that do not need to be mashed. Steeping differs from mashing in that there is no enzyme activity taking place to convert starches to sugars. Steeping specialty grains is entirely a leaching and dissolution process of sugars into the wort. Without specialty grains I doubt you could brew a traditional porter.

BB smoked porter kit is awesome. Just bottled this up on Saturday, and it tasted great in it's warm+flat state!

Try that one - good for new guys like us.
