Default Partial Mash and Late DME Addition???

Any reason you would not reap the same benefits from doing a late DME addition during a PM brew as you would from doing a late LME addition.??? Just curious as this is what I did today, then got to thinking I have never seen late addition extract boils mentioned in conjuntion with DME.
