What is your favorite wine to make and drink? I am new to wine making so I really don't have one yet, but I have a very berry wine and a pumpkin mess in the fermented.

I make cranberry and sour cherry wines every year and everyone loves them. Last year a banana/ginger wine was a winter time hit. Some new wines from last year that look promising are pomegranate and dried rose hips, but they will need a little more aging. And the Skeeter Pee for the hot days of summer never fails.

Me? I don't buy fruit. Well, except for bananas since they don't grow this far north!

So you just make all of yours from juice?

I generally crush the fruit and use campden tablets. After primary fermentation, I squeeze out the fruit (in mesh bags) and proceed.

Do you have a recipe for the banana/ginger wine?
