Default For Sale - WTB - 7/8 SS Washer

I need 3 or 4 stainless steel 7/8" washers to fit my 1/2" brass nipple. Cannot find these anywhere and I would really like to get them sooner rather than later.

If anyone has these in the NJ/Philly area, please let me know!

I'm right outside of Philly, in Audubon. How about you?

I posted another thread about building a mash tun cooler, and I have both a set of 3/8" brass nipple, ball valve, barbs, etc and a set of 1/2" pieces. The 1/2" brass nipple fits better in the drain plug hole, however I know I could find 5/8" SS washers at a local Fastenal. I just question whether the valve setup will be sturdy enough with a smaller brass nipple.

Any thoughts on this? If you're close enough though I could just pick up the 7/8" washers and be done with it!

Bobby is good people, he'll take care of you. But have you taken a look at Menards?

Oh, I know of his reputation and I subscribe to his YouTube channel

There are no Menard's by me, but I've been to Home Depot, Lowes and Ace/True Value and I couldn't find any 5/8" or 7/8". Lowes did have 3/4" so I bought those but they are a hair too small to fit over the 1/2" brass nipple.

I also checked some parts online at Fastenal and my local store has the 5/8" SS washers in stock but no 7/8".

I needed some for my kegerator build...Home Depot did not have any that large. Lowes did: they had both 3/4 and 1 inch. These are zinc plated washers.

Bummer. I know what a drag it is to have something so simple hold up a project. Good luck.

If you ever need stainless hardware and have one close, try a West Marine store. Stainless is damn near required on a boat and they stock a lot of odd stuff because of that. Pricey perhaps but available.

I have, but if possible I would like to avoid shipping charges for only a few washers, and I sort of want to put this cooler mash tun together by the end of the week.

It definitely is a pain having to wait this out... luckily I have about a week buffer zone for my 10 gallon pot and ingredients to ship.
