Second kegged beer is now corbonated just the way I like it. I will not be drinking it for at least a month or two. What is the best way to store it? Room temp? serving temp? Under pressure or with the gas line removed? With all pressure relieved or with carbonating pressure or serving pressure left on it?
Any help will ensure this beer is as good at serving as it is now. A beautiful IPA.
Storing kegs at room temp is fine, just remember that co2 absorbs into beer better while it's a lower temps. When you warm it up, some of the co2 will escape from the beer and cause a build up of pressure in the keg. If you try to tap it again before the temps are back the the same as when you carbonated, it will be extremely foamy.
I have a solid pipeline of 2-3 kegs waiting to be tapped. I always have an untapped keg in my kegerator so that when one kicks, I can just hook up the next and start pouring again. As long as their already carbonated, it works fine. The other two kegs I usually have are stored in my basement.
