Title is pretty self explanatory. I read northern brewers reviews on their erlenmeyers and it wasn't positive. Was wondering who has the best price for the quality.

I wonder if they started using a new model after the old one got bad reviews. I just bought one from them and it's made by fischer, which is a reasonably good name in lab glass.

Otherwise, amazon sells a pyrex 2L flask: http://www.amazon.com/Flask-ERLENMEY.../dp/B001BLKL4W

Discount lab supply stores like Cynmar will be cheaper, but you sometimes get what you pay for there.

I got mine from austin home brew: http://www.austinhomebrew.com/index....=178_33_66_554
I've only used it once but didn't have a problem. Add a few kits and get free shipping!

Based on what I've seen the prices seems to be the same at most places.

There are deals to be had on ebay. I got my 6 liter there for like 30$ shipped if I remember right. Its Pyrex and has been working great so far, even directly on the stove. I heard that newer pyrex is supposed to be crappy not sure if thats for just the commercial stuff or the lab supply stuff as well but mine has been good so far.

$41 is kind of steep, at least to me.
I got mine when I bought my Stir Starter from Bell.

I dont heat it, and try to be very careful setting it down.
I noticed 3 tiny bubbles in the glass in different spots

rather than the flasks, I'd like a nice 2L Pyrex beaker, for $20

I just ordered a 2L from this place. I'm hoping it's of decent quality, but I guess I'll have to wait and find out.

2L Pyrex flask for $20 HERE.

They also sell stirbars for about $4-5 with free shipping here
I purchased three stirbars, and they seem of good quality. Website says PTFE, but no documentation came with the package.

Wouldn't a beaker be better than a flask, since its easier to pour into, and it takes up less verticle space?
