My first recipe! Look good? I'm trying to get a s'mores flavor going, maybe? I don't know, I just want a tasty brew :mug: What I'd really like is a strong graham cracker and chocolate taste with a vanilla aftertaste, but I'm not sure how reasonable it is to expect that.

I'd cut the chocolate in half. And cut the biscuit in half then replace those removed halves with some crystal or honey malt. That way you can get some sweetness to the beer and keep the profile you already have. An ounce of vanilla might be to much though.

Noted. I really wasn't sure on how much vanilla would be too much. I really don't want it to overpower everything, but I don't want it to be masked either. What do you think, 0.5 -0.75oz?

Here's what I would change it to:

8.5 lb Marris Otter
1 lb Carmel 60L
1 lb Munich 10L
0.5 lb Chocolate Malt
0.25 lb Biscuit Malt
0.25 lb Special B

With that said, I wouldn't do this as your first recipe. For your first recipe, I'd suggest you start simple. IPAs are perfect for 1st beers, IMO.

Smores will be hard to aquire.
