Yes, pull the pressure relief valve when hooking it up, especially after shaking. Otherwise, beer WILL flow back into your lines/regulator!

When you connect it, you can leave it connected. I leave mine right in the fridge. The key is to know where it is (I use a zip-tie to keep it up at the top of the keg) so you don't accidentally drop it into a position where it is held open while you're away. Otherwise, leaving it connected is fine!

similar questions, we just kegged my 9.1% IPA the other night, we hooked up the c02, I thinkit was set at 14 and we are letting it sit. The problem is that we have two other kegs on the co2 in the fridge, see sig below. How long should we wait to drink the IPA and are we way off, etc...

If your temperature is 40-42 degrees, and the other kegs are carbed correctly, that's fine. It'll take a week or so for the IPA to carb up, maybe up to 14 days for full carbonation. But I'd say it should start being carbed up in 4 days or so, at least enough to get a small sample!

what pressure do you use to serve the beer after it is carb up enough using 15psi?
