are you correcting your hydrometer reading for tempeture ? 12% is crazy

I actually also got some help on this problem in another thread.
The general consensus is that I didn't mix the wort in with the water well enough and that the actual OG should have been around 1.074 (which I was aiming for).

That doesn't change the fact that the gravity has now remained at 1.032 for 3 days. What would you guys recommend for getting it down below 1.020?
Should I repitch some California Ale Yeast with another starter?

how many days in Primary? if its been 10 days then its done ... if it taste good then the FG doesn't matter. But if you really wanna try to push a couple points you can pitch some lager yeast.

Anybody know what bitterness formula was used here. I get a much higher reading using Tinseth?

I am planning on brewing this next weekend. I can't wait. I am kind of wondering about that 10 minute addition. Does any one know why it says "steep" or a hop addition at the 10 min mark? I get the pre-boil hop addition one but something put in at the 10 min mark has me perplexed.

I am planning on making a 1000mL starter for this one.

I tried this recipe a while ago and had a question. Here are some of the details.

Brewed on 7/30. ~1.065 gravity reading (adjusted to about 80 deg). I did have a problem in the primary that I didn't appear to have secured the lid so very little action for 2-3 days. Once I re-secured it,things took off vigorously.

I let it go in the primary for 7 days and then had an out of town trip for five days so I let it go while I was gone. When I got back on 8/15 activity had stopped. I racked over to the secondary 8/16 with a reading of 1.012 (at about 72 deg). Also did the dry hopping at this point.

It has been there since then with not activity appearing in the airlock.

So, not sure if this is normal (read a few posts that state that no visible activity isn't the end of the world). Looking for some guidance.

If it makes any difference, I will be kegging.
