silly little question but my local homebrew store has two types of crown bottle caps. one is the normal crown ones, the other are oxygen resistant caps. i went with the cheaper of the two, the normal. was that a mistake?

Nope, they will work fine. I am not sure the oxygen caps are worth it.

I think the oxygen absorbing caps really only have a use for beers you plan on storing long term, like for years. I'm going to use them for the barleywine I'm aging for the next 4 years. But for everything else I just use the elcheepo bulk caps from my lhbs.

They're only like $0.60 cents extra per pound, so I use them.
