Just an FYI for anyone who is looking to get a brewing kit, Groupon has a half off a brewing kit from Midwest. The kit is on special for $63 (usually $127). I'm not sure if every city has it, but I know Birmingham, AL does.

This is still going on:

It's a great deal! For $64 (+$12 s/h at Midwest) you get a beer kit, $25 gift card, 2 buckets and assorted other equipment. The $25 (+s/h) can easily buy another kit.

The Kit + Gift card are worth $50 by themselves.

I don't think you need to be in the Birmingham area (ironically it's still illegal to homebrew in Alabama).
