Default to late to cut rhizomes?

So I am moving here in the next month. I have some hop hills that are in their third season and I would like to take some with me (first hops, awww). Is it to late in the season to cut? I am going to anyway, just looking for opinions.

Default go for it

You'll be fine - keep 'em cool and moist til you stick'em.
