Well, I don't have to take some corporate folk out to dinner tonight after all. (I'm not changing my avatar yet though). Question is this. Should I clean up the house before the wife gets home tomorrow night or just head over to the bar for drink(s) and dinner? I'm rather torn on this one and want to poll the audience Regis.

Tell Nader he can stop by for a beer after he finishes tidying up around the place...

Goto bar and then let the beer monster tidy up when you get back. Nice surprise for you when you awake in the morning!

No brainer. Head to the tavern and hire a cleaning service.

I voted "bar," but have to re-think this...

Exactly how "appreciative" will SWMBO be if she comes home to a clean house? Like, I have to go put away clothes soon, as this REALLY makes SWMBO quite happy..... quite happy.... so it might behoove you to crack a beer or three at the house and get the vacuum out.

Beer wherever. Then think about cleaning. It's the thought that counts.

I've got it. Build a bar at the house. Make sure you tidy up though. That will hopefully soften the wrath of having a bar at the house.

go to the bar. Or do 1 thing like empty the dishwasher or something else that's easy then go to the bar, you can always say you did something instead of nothing.

Man, go to the bar. I have learned that with proper motivation, you can clean up whatever mess you need to in about 2 hours. Do it tomorrow, just before she gets home. I do my best work under pressure.
