 Why only 65,535 allowed PM's?

That just isn't enough! I need at least 66,000. JK of course. Happy Friday.

But that is a strange number.

2^16 = 65536

So if you are counting from zero in binary it is:

1111111111111111

It is only strange if you don't know computers.

That some kind of computer trick? That's a lot of 1's. Even stranger than 65536.

You are correct I don't know computers.

65,535

6+5+5+3+5 = 38

3*8=24

24 bottles in a case

alpha numerically C+A+S+E (3+1+19+5) = 28

2*8=16

2^16 = 65536

Makes perfect sense.

I took a class in college where all of the homework was in binary. Like, we'd end up having to write a couple of pages in binary for each assignment.

The professor of that class graded and handed back all of the homework himself within 2 days. And he would catch every single mistake.

Whoa, easy Yooper... no bigs to binary heads. But, if you did have to limit your choices to being in awe of him or scared of him, you picked a good base (2 - binary). Hee hee!
