I searched for this answer, but couldn't find it so here it goes.

How much alcohol do you get from carbonation. Let's assume I use one cup of DME or corn sugar per 5 gallons. Take my finished pilsner for example with SG = 1.040 and FG = 1.010 which would yield (40-10)/7.36 = 4.08% ABV before carbonation. Would the extra DME or corn sugar yield another .2%, .4%, ? Thanks.

The amount of sugar you add is so little, that the additional alcohol produced is almost insignificant. I don't have my brewing software handy, and I'm about to walk out the door, but I would guess that it's less than 0.1%.

It adds up to a little less than 0.25%, so if you had a 5.25% beer it'd be 5.5% after priming.
Relentless pursuit of better beer
